Wildly popular Japanese dessert chain Warabimochi Kamakura made its Singapore debut at One Holland Village in February this year, followed by a second outlet at Taste Orchard in April. Now, its third outlet takes shape at #B2-34 Takashimaya Shopping Centre, offering fans another central location for their fix of its dessert drinks and silky smooth warabimochi, which is mochi made from bracken starch that also lends the mochi a lighter jelly-like texture.
Exclusive to the Takashimaya outlet are the matcha warabi and black sesame warabimochi drink (from $7.90) that comes with options of Hokkaido milk or soya milk.
The Takashimaya outlet offers five other options for the dessert drinks, such as strawberry yogurt, strawberry milk, asakawa-en matcha, coffee milk and houjicha, all loaded with tiny pieces of warabimochi to be slurped up with a straw after giving the drink a good stir to distribute the warabimochi throughout.
