Malt & Wine Asia’s Great Palate is back on July 5 and 6 for its second edition, bringing together 15 distillery owners and brand representatives offering over 200 whisky and spirits labels in the grand ballroom of Parkroyal Collection Marina Bay between 1pm and 8pm.
The ticketed walkabout tasting event is also raising a spirited toast to Singapore’s 60th year of independence (SG60), launching a slew of collectible SG60 single-cask releases created in partnership with industry icons that include Italian independent bottler Samaroli, Hiroshima-based whisky maker Sakurao and Cognac producer ABK6. A standout is a limited single-cask bottling by Japan’s cult Mars Distillery with labels specially designed by renowned Singaporean illustrator Lee Xin Li.
Also look out for special debuts such as China’s award-winning single malt Goalong and the launch of Godzilla Umiki Blended Whisky created to celebrate Godzilla’s 70th anniversary.
Alongside the tastings are masterclasses on Chinese single malts, a Glendronach sherry cask experience and a blind tasting of alternatives to mainstream brands conducted by Singapore’s independent bottlers.
The event’s last day sees a charity auction at 3pm where two unique casks — Cask No.1 and Cask No.60 — will go under the hammer with proceeds benefitting St John’s Home.
Each ticket ($88 nett) to Great Palate 2025: Whisky and Spirits Edition entitles you to 20 drams at the walkabout tasting hall, a cocktail from the bar and a souvenir tasting glass.
