Torikizoku (鳥貴族) makes landfall in Singapore

Torikizoku famous for its uniform flat-rate pricing has been a favourite among locals across Japan for its casual, high-value dining since its founding in Osaka in 1985.

The VivoCity outlet seats up to 174 (including seats in an al fresco area overlooking the promenade), making it the largest of the chain’s close-to-700 eateries globally.

Other than the kids’ meals and alcoholic drinks priced at $9.90, everything else at Torikizoku Singapore goes for $3.90 per item, such as one of the menu highlights — the chicken thigh and leek skewer, which is part of the restaurant’s Kizokuyaki range featuring jumbo skewers seasoned with spices, salts or its iconic sauce created from a recipe carefully passed down for over 40 years.

Besides yakitori, diners at Torikizoku could also enjoy this Chicken Kamameshi, a type of Japanese claypot rice served in a traditional pot and cooked right at the table for around 25 minutes.
