Dal.Komm Coffee unveils new concept

Located at the heart of Guoco Midtown is popular Korean café and coffee brand Dal.Komm Coffee’s new concept store Dal.Komm Playground where, apart from enjoying its usual premium coffee blends, you can also pick from its Korean-inspired all-day dining menu featuring brunch delights of kimchi meatball shakshuka ($18.90) and Sunny Cruffin ($15.90; filled with turkey ham, cheese, cherry tomatoes and kimchi mayo), and hearty mains of spicy ssamjang prawn pasta ($20.90) and beef bulgogi sandwich ($18.90).

The generous platter of Fox M’s Big Breakfast ($20.90) comprises roasted mushrooms, chicken chorizo, avocado, tomatoes and eggs of choice with sourdough toast.

The extensive menu also offers hot bites such as pan-fried sotteok ($16.90), boneless fried chicken and loaded fries as well as seafood pancake ($23.90) and seafood kimchi ramyun soup ($39.90), which is good to be shared between two.

The spicy ssamjang prawn pasta has loads of umami, courtesy of the traditional Korean fermented soya bean paste known as ssamjang.
Good for two persons is this signature seafood kimchi ramyun soup consisting of baby octopus, scallops, prawns, crab leg and kimchi.

Come sundown, the café morphs into a relaxing bar when shimmering “stars” illuminate its ceiling – setting up a whimsical ambience for a night out with friends.

Tipplers, particularly makgeolli lovers, will be glad to know that there’s a curated range of Korean alcoholic beverages available exclusively at this concept store where its daily happy five-hour deals starts from 3pm.

Exclusive to this concept store is the Makgeolli Medley ($38) comprising four different flavours.
Makgeolli pouring into a glass bowl of finely-shaven ice adorned with fresh strawberries, blueberries and thyme. This outlet-exclusive dessert of strawberry makgeolli bingsu ($38) is to be savoured with a glass ladle.
