An opulent feast to celebrate the Sofitel brand’s 60th anniversary

Five Sofitel hotels in the region are coming together at Racines on June 29 and 30 to put up a lavish spread to indulge guests in the diamond jubilee celebration. The culinary showcase features a signature dish from each hotel. From Sofitel Singapore City Centre is the piquant and aromatic lobster laksa served in a coconut shell while Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit presents its spicy beef massaman curry. Warming hearts and soothing bellies is a beloved dish of Vietnamese beef pho from Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi while Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara entices diners with its speciality – the rich and fragrant short rib beef rendang. Last but not least is a dish not commonly seen in Singapore – the Cambodian fish amok presented by Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra.

Aside from these dishes, diners can also indulge in an array of French specialities such as French onion soup, pan-seared foie gras, duck leg confit, frog legs and roasted French chicken.

For seafood lovers, there are freshly shucked oysters, Alaskan king crabs, Boston lobsters and steamed halibut with hot chilli bean sauce, while suckling pig stuffed with glutinous rice, Wagyu prime rib and roasted pipa sesame duck are other meaty options in the opulent spread.

Those with a sweet tooth will be delighted with the range of desserts where they can choose from hot desserts such as burbur cha cha and banana fritters with peanut butter chocolate sauce to local desserts of kueh dadar, ang ku kueh and Milo dinosaur cake. There’s also a live station serving croffles with strawberry pâté à bombe, pandan gelato or teh tarik gelato.
