Escape to a sizzling affair

Steaks are now the order of the day at Escape Restaurant once known for its wallet-friendly sumptuous buffet spread. The restaurant has taken on a steakhouse and bar dining concept offering sizzling steaks and an assortment of dishes fresh off the grill.

The star of the new menu is the Tajima Wagyu Striploin ($68; 180g) with its fine marbling and tender meat. Beef lovers who like their meat juicy and heavily marbled can go for the grass-fed Angus ribeye ($28; 200g). Those preferring a leaner cut may opt for the prime grade US Omaha striploin ($44; 200g). For sharing, there is a 1kg Tomahawk steak ($152). Non-beef options include succulent pork ribs ($28; 250g), miso salmon ($28) and a crispy Har Cheong Gai burger ($22).

Calamari ($16) with truffle mayo and tartar sauce is available as a starter or a bar bite.

Each grilled entrée or burger is served with a choice of two side dishes and a sauce. Choose from sides of sweet potato fries, coleslaw with raisins, burnt butter asparagus with eggs or vine-ripened tomatoes cured in plum juice, among others. Click here to see the full menu.
