The lunch crowd now have another option for their quick meals on-the-go — Gourmet Bowls prepared by executive chef Jean-Charles Dubois of Sofitel Singapore City Centre and his award-winning culinary team.
At $15 per bowl, diners can choose from five flavours that include Teriyaki Chicken Rice comprising poached boneless chicken with fragrant jasmine rice drizzled in a light sesame dressing; and Norwegian Salmon Poke with jasmine rice, edamame and nori accompanying a yuzu- marinated salmon. A heartier choice is the Premium Penne bowl offering Wagyu meatballs in a mascarpone tomato sauce.
Vegans can look to an Eastern-style or Western-style bowl. The Eastern De-Lite comprises crunchy wok-tossed broccoli and silky steamed tofu on a bed of Anjou quinoa dressed with garlic and Shaoxing wine, while the Western De-Lite includes organic kale and roasted tomatoes topped with house-made garden pesto and warm barley.
The Gourmet Bowls are available at 1864 on weekdays from 11am to 3pm.
