All-you-can-eat Hokkien delights

Take a nostalgic journey to discover the flavours of Hokkien dishes with the newly launched à la carte lunch buffet at Beng Hiang Restaurant (茗香菜馆). Serving Hokkien cuisine since 1978, this heritage Chinese restaurant is one of the go-to places for local Hokkien fare.

Diners can expect around 30 items for the buffet, choosing from three rice/noodle dishes, eight dim sum, three desserts and 16 popular dishes such as crispy squid with salted egg (咸蛋鲜鱿), deep-fried prawn balls in breadcrumbs (炸虾丸) and bitter gourd with pork ribs served in claypot (凉瓜排骨煲). All can be ordered any number of times except for two items — the restaurant’s well-loved Kong Ba Bao (steamed mantou with braised brisket; 扣肉花包) and shredded chicken with fungus and bamboo shoot with bun (三丝鸡肉包), which are available for a one-time serving.

The fried rice with silver fish (银鱼仔炒饭) is a comfort to have. Do not miss too the crispy bean curd skin roll with prawn (鲜虾腐皮卷) and pan-fried turnip cake with Chinese sausages (腊味萝卜糕) from the dim sum selection.

The à la carte lunch buffet is available on weekdays from 11.30am to 3pm at $22.80 per adult. A minimum of three diners is required.
