Handcrafted snowskin mooncakes from Hai Tien Lo (海天楼) take centre stage at a mid-autumn-themed afternoon tea set for two ($88) starting from today at Pan Pacific Singapore’s Atrium until Sep 21.
Paying homage to the colours of fall is a line-up of white truffle-scented egg sandwich, roasted pumpkin custard tart and smoked duck with Pommery mustard on charcoal bun, among other savouries. The sweet repertoire includes tangy lemon posset with Kentish strawberry, canelé with pandan cream, and chocolate brownies with Araguani chocolate whipped ganache that will delight chocolate fiends.
For the mooncake which is served on dry ice, pick from flavours such as matcha black sesame, Gianduja yuzu, mango passionfruit or Virgin Singapore Sling. Complete the indulgence with classic plain scones and golden raisin scones served with butter, clotted cream and strawberry preserve.
Each guest is entitled to two beverages. Choose from a selection of fresh brews featuring arabica coffees from Bacha Coffee and whole leaf teas from TWG Tea.
The tea set is also available for takeaways and delivery on the hotel’s e-shop, but note that the snowskin mooncake will be substituted with a baked one – the Pu Er lotus seed baked mooncake, a new creation from Hai Tien Lo.
